Xiomi has launched Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition for the Chinese market. Xiaomi has named it the world’s first mass-produced transparent TV which is a mixture of “cutting-edge display technology and exquisite industrial design.” This TV comes with a full-HD OLED panel with high amazing refresh rate and color accuracy. This Edition has narrow bezels on the top and sides. It has a large chin that sits on top of a circular base. This chin houses the electronics and speakers. This Edition features a 55-inch full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) transparent OLED display with 120Hz of refresh rate and MEMC motion compensation.
This edition has a 10-bit panel and has 150,000:1 static contrast ratio. The Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition boasts of 93% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. It has 1ms response time. This amazing TV is powered by the Mali-G52 MC1 GPU and quad-core Cortex-A73 CPU with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage. The audio is overall controlled by two 8W speakers with Dolby Atmos support along with Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD. The Mi TV Lux Transparent Edition comes with dual-band Wi-Fi, three HDMI ports, two USB ports, Bluetooth v5.0, an AV port, and an Ethernet port for connectivity. This TV has built-in app store. This TV runs on MIUI which is designed for TVs. This TV measures 750mm x 1227mm excluding the base. The height of this TV increases to 823.11mm including the base. Weight of this TV is 24.96kg and is only 5.7mm which gives it a classy looks. As it is a transparent TV, it has no backlight which makes it feel like the images on the screen is floating in the air. The bezels on the two sides and the top of the TV are fairly narrow but the chin is relatively huge. This TV rests on the circular base that houses the main processing unit which also acts as the speaker. There are all ports on the back of the base which is for easier management of cable. This TV is also compatible with Miracast and Airplay and allowes access to the Xiaomi AIoT ecosystem.This edition is priced at roughly Rs. 5.37 lacs ( CNY 49,999). It is now open for pre-order on Mi.com and will go on sale from August 16 in China. However, there is no firm information about the international availability of this edition.
